Sheri Lincoln Carr

Teaching Philosophy

A Champion doesn’t wait for something good to happen, they make it happen! Perseverance and adaptability are key!  

Personal Biography

Sheri is a native of Rochester and grew up skating with the Genesee Figure Skating Club. She has been coaching in the Rochester area for 25 years.  She is a USFSA Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She also has competed in National Collegiate and Regional competitions, winning Gold and Silver in the Empire State Games. Sheri has skated in and choreographed numerous ice shows including RPO shows, the annual GFSC Christmas show and many others.  

Sheri has coached many gold level skaters, as well as regional and national competitors in freestyle, collegiate, adult and showcase. Several of her skaters have gone on to skate with Disney on Ice. Sheri offers lessons in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Style, Power Stroking, Choreography, Basic Skills and Off-Ice Strength Training. She instructs private, semi-private and group lessons. 

As a past skating director of a large Learn to Skate program for six years, Sheri coordinated and developed figure skating programs and directed skating shows and exhibitions. Sheri also developed and coached the Bridge Program, and is currently directing a Learn to Skate program locally.

Degrees in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising

12 years of experience in the fashion/modeling business (print, runway fashion shows, and commercial modeling)
