The Genesee Figure Skating Club welcomes you whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned figure skater.  We offer programs and activities for junior and adult skaters that promote fitness and fun while helping you achieve your skating goal.

When to join a figure skating club?

Joining a club is an important step for a figure skater. The GFSC offers a place to train and call home where you can advance your skating skills while creating lasting friendships. Training with private coaches prepares you for taking US Figure Skating tests and competing in USFSA sanctioned events. The club offers daily ice sessions, quarterly test sessions, in-house ice shows/exhibitions, social events, and fun activities for skaters of all levels. For parents, the club offers volunteer opportunities which create a welcoming skating environment that fosters comradery and a passion for skating.

Want to learn to figure skate?  Or already know how to figure skate but want to take your skills further?

We offer two class options to guide you through the beginning stages of learning to skate.  We group skaters into small groups for lessons based on their level of ability.  We provide a safe, structured environment for you to learn and practice all lead by our professional coaches.

Our Aspire Program offers skaters an introduction to all of the elements of figure skating.  This class is open to skaters ages 4-adult. Skaters will learn elements, stroking, edging, spins and jumps.  Groups are divided by abilities.  Visit our Aspire Program page for more information and to register.

Our Adult Only Class offers skaters who are 18 years or older the opportunity to learn with only adults.  A small group lesson is offered for part of the class time leaving plenty of time to practice your skills.  There is also the opportunity to take private lessons with our club coaches. Visit our Adult Only Class page for more information and to register.
